Advantage conference to host music industry luminary

Monday, 07 Apr, 2011 0

MOBO Awards founder Kanya King MBE is to speak at this year’s Advantage conference in Madrid.

The music industry stalwart will attend the conference’s DNA of an Entrepreneur session that opens the event.

King’s entrepreneurial flair took the MOBO awards from a small business plan that she dreamt up as a TV researcher to an internationally recognised awards ceremony that has raised the profile of black urban music and culture.

Her session at the conference will examine the entrepreneurial spirit and similarities between entrepreneurs.

It will be led by leisure director at Advantage Travel Centres Julia Lo Bue-Said and will also include chairman of Barrhead Travel Bill Munro, former chief executive officer at Gold Medal Terry Fisher, managing director of Meon Valley Business Travel and Repatriations James Beagrie and chief executive of Lowcost Travel Group Paul Evans.
