Agents look to homeworking as tough market hits high street
Travel Counsellors is reporting a marked increase in enquiries from agency owners looking to run their own travel business without the overheads and rising costs of owning a shop in the current climate.
Managing director Steve Byrne said: “There is no doubt that life is tougher than ever on the high street which is why we are seeing a marked increase in enquiries from agency owners.â€
In response, Travel Counsellors is running a special recruitment webcast on January 29 to explain the benefits of working from home in the economic downturn.
The webcast will be broadcast at 8pm. To register visit www.travelcounsellors.com/tctv, telephone 0800 195 7193 or email [email protected].
Last year, the company’s turnover increased by 16% from £210m to £245m.
