Air Astana launches Crete flights
Air Astana has inaugurated services to the Greek holiday island of Crete.
Flights from its Almaty hub began with its Airbus A321LR carrying 165 passengers receiving a water cannon welcome salute at Heraklion International Airport.
“Air Astana is delighted to launch services to Crete, which represents another significant step in the groups’ commitment to expand its network of flights to leisure destinations” said Adel Dauletbek, Air Astana Marketing and Sales Vice-President.
“Passengers will enjoy Air Astana’s award winning service in visiting this new destination.”
Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Greece, H.E. Mr. Yerlan Baudarbek-Kozhatayev said: “This route will create favourable conditions for tourism and the development of cultural exchange.”
Air Astana flies to Crete three times a week from Almaty.
