Air Canada is expanding its transpacific network to Australia with a third route linking Vancouver with Melbourne.
It will be a seasonal four times a week service from December to February.
The carrier already serves Sydney and Brisbane.
"Australians are continuing to embrace Canada as a year-round destination, while Vancouver is now well established as a friendly and convenient gateway to North America," said Air Canada general manager for Australia and New Zealand Paul McLean.
"By operating the only non-stop service between Melbourne and Canada we are making it easier than ever before for Victorians to experience Canada’s unsurpassed winter attractions, which include some of the world’s leading ski resorts in British Columbia and Alberta."
Melbourne is just one of several new routes announced which include Toronto-Belize City, Montreal-Phoenix and Vancouver-Orlando flights.
