Friday, 20 November 20153 min read
Air Canada has announced a dozen new non-stop flights to the US from its four main Canadian hubs.
Next summer the carrier will begin new flights to 12 US cities, 10 of which will offer year-round service.
New destinations to the Air Canada network include Washington-Dulles, San Jose and Salt Lake City.
The 12 new routes, which include new city pairs Vancouver-Chicago, Montreal-Houston, Montreal-Denver and Calgary-San Francisco, will be operated by Air Canada’s main brand, Air Canada rouge and Air Canada Express.
"Air Canada is the foreign carrier operating the most flights to the US, carrying the most customers and serving the most destinations," says Benjamin Smith, president of passenger airlines for Air Canada.
"As such, we are pleased to strengthen our market presence, particularly as the U.S. is the top destination for Canadian travelers and Canada is one of the most popular destinations for Americans."
All new flights are scheduled to begin from May to mid-June, including the year-round daily Toronto-Salt Lake City service on May 27 and daily Montreal-Denver flights from June 4.
To kick it off promotional activity, Air Canada is offering special introductory fares bookable on its website.
