Air China will halt flights to Hawaii from Beijing later this month due to weak demand.
The escalating US-China trade war has had an effect, although last year the three times a week service only averaged 66% load factor according to Chinese flight data provider Variflight.
The route will be suspended from August 27.
Passengers with confirmed tickets for travel after this date will be entitled to a full refund, the airline said.
Hawaiian Airlines also pulled out of the same non-stop route after citing slower than expected growth.
Hawaiian launched the Honnolulu0-Beijing route back in 2014.
In recently released US tourism data, Chinese travel to the US posted its first decline for nearly 15 years.
