Air India directors asked to resign as new owner Tata takes over
Air India board members have been asked to step down ahead of new owner Tata Sons formally taking over.
Board members were asked to resign and are expected to do so during their last board meeting next month.
Tata Sons are expected to take the helm in January, according to local media.
"Seven board members have been asked to resign. These include four functional directors, two government nominee directors, chairman, and managing director," an airline official said.
Tata Sons secured the winning bid for the debt-ridden state-run airline in October.
