Air India to come under Tata ownership this week
State-owned airline Air India is expected to be formally handed over to new owner, conglomerate Tata Group by the end of this week. India media outlets report the handover will take place on January 27.
Air India was sold last year to Tata subsidiary Talace Private Limited for US$2.41 billion. Tata also owns majority stakes in India-based carriers Vistara and AirAsia India.
