Global air passenger traffic continued its strong recovery in November, according to IATA.

Total traffic in revenue passenger kilometres rose 41.3% year-over-year.

Globally, traffic is now at 75.3% of November 2019 levels.

Asia-Pacific was the strongest November performance.

Overall, 2022 international RPKs were 73.7% of 2019 levels.

IATA called out the ‘science politics’ of reintroducing Covid tests for travellers from China.

It ‘can do little to contain a virus that is already present worlwide,’ IATA said.

“Governments should focus on available tools to manage Covid-19 effectively,” said Willie Walsh, IATA Director General.
