AirAsia India rolls out door-to-door baggage service
AirAsia India is introducing door-to-door baggage delivery.
A first for an airline in India, the baggage delivery service will roll out in Bengaluru, New Delhi and Hyderabad.
The FlyPorter service will expand to Mumbai soon, the airline said.
The airline hopes to avoid any unnecessary interaction at airports, like waiting in line at check-in desks, as the industry seeks to limit wait times and close contact with airport staff.
An introductory price of INR500 one way is inclusive of pickup from the passenger’s home within 60 km of the airport.
A full door-to-door service at both ends costs INR1,000.
"While touchless and contactless check-in and boarding has ensured that passengers feel safe, the FlyPorter service now introduces a safer and hassle-free way to transport your baggage as well", the airline said.
