Airbnb Cuba listings now open to international travelers

Home sharing platform Airbnb said it has got the go-ahead to open up its Cuba listings to all international markets.
Authorization came for Airbnb to expand its home rental listings to non US travelers as president Obama touched down in Havana on a historic visit to Cuba.
Airbnb was previously only permitted to sell stays in Cuba properties to travelers from the US.
Following the approval by the Treasury Department, Airbnb said it will offer Cuba listings to international travelers from April 2, exactly one year after entering the market.
The island is among the fastest growing markets for the short-term home rental site with more than 4,000 signed up in the past year.
More than 13,000 Americans stayed in Airbnb rentals in Cuba in that time, the San Francisco based company said.
