An Atlanta Airport aircraft technician who caused a disturbance at Las Vegas Airport allegedly threatened to use his professional knowledge to cause a plane ‘to fall out of the sky.’
Neutne Williamson is facing misdemeanor criminal charges of harassment and violation of airport rules after getting into an argument with airport staff when travelling from Las Vegas McCarran Airport.
Police said Williamson, who works as a mechanic for ExpressJet at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson, was refused a boarding pass to fly on a Delta Air Lines flight after an argument and he then refused to leave the airport peacefully.
"People’s lives are in my hands, do you get it?" he is alleged to have said to airport staff.
He was detained for five days after the June 16 incident and his security credentials at Atlanta Airport have been revoked.
Williamson is due in court on September 19 and a spokesman from employer ExpressJet said the company is investigating.
