Airlines for America appoints communications VP

Aviation trade group Airlines for America has named Penny Kozakos as new vice president of communications.
Taking up the position on January 4, 2016, Kozakos is the current managing director of PR firm Burson-Marsteller.
"Penny is an accomplished communicator and strategist, whose decades of executive-level experience will bolster an already strong communications team," said Jean Medina, A4A senior vice president of communications.
"Penny’s proven ability to effectively manage high-profile issues in a global marketplace makes her a perfect addition to A4A’s executive communications team."
Before joining Burson-Marsteller in 1999, Kozakos worked in the national media at USA Today and NBC News.
In the new role she will oversee A4A’s digital media team and lead campaigns in collaboration with national, regional and trade media outlets.
