A U.S. Transportation Security Administration officer has been charged with larceny on accusations that he stole money and jewelry from a traveler at a Detroit Metropolitan Airport security checkpoint, reported the Associated Press.

Jermel Mitchell, 26, is alleged to have taken money from a man’s wallet and also took a silver necklace after the man removed the items to go through a metal detector.

Police found the missing items in Mitchell’s possession.

In April, three Transportation Security Administration employees and one former employee were arrested on accusations of stealing and reselling laptop computers and other electronic devices from Detroit Metro passengers’ luggage. All four were convicted of federal charges, reported AP.
