AITO reveals 2010 conference venue

Tuesday, 15 Jul, 2010 0

AITO will hold its 2010 conference in Brussels.

The organisation says it chose to hold the event, scheduled for November 19 to 22, in a destination close to home, both to protect its green credentials and to throw a spotlight on the city from which emanates the “legislative nightmare that bedevils the tour operating industry”.

AITO Chairman Derek Moore said: “In a year where aviation has been the subject of much discussion, AITO has decided to skip the need for a third runway or exorbitant APD charges and have a conference that is accessible by train.

“For 2010 we felt that it was important to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum and Brussels by Eurostar was the logical choice.”
