Alaska Airlines adds new routes from Southern California
Alaska Airlines announced two new routes from Southern California starting this spring.
It will launch daily, nonstop flights from Los Angeles to Austin, TX beginning on 18 March with a planned increase to three flights a day from 20 May.
From 4 April Alaska will launch coast-to-coast service from San Diego to New York JFK.
"These two new routes enhance our guest proposition in Southern California while providing valuable connectivity to our global partners as we join oneworld," said Brett Catlin, Alaska Airlines Vice President of Network and Alliances.
This spring Alaska also offers nonstop flights out of San Diego to Newark and Boston.
Alaska has been boosting its presence at LAX and added 12 routes last year.
Austin will become its 40th destination out of Los Angeles.
"Southern California is an integral part of Alaska’s network and continues to offer valuable opportunities for selective expansion," Catlin added.
