All change at HMA
Linda Moore, the former public relations director of Hilton UK and Marriott Hotels UK, has become chairman of the Hotel Marketing Association (HMA).
She succeeds Andrea McKay who remains on the HMA Committee.
Ed Purnell, currently area director of marketing for InterContinental Hotels in London, becomes the new vice chairman.
Caroline Calvert of Red Carnation Hotels, Mark Halliday of Millennium Hotels and Carole Luck, formerly of Hilton, have joined the HMA Committee together with Martin Evans of the Tourism Business.
Moore said: "Like most businesses, UK hotels are facing challenging times. It is therefore essential that high standards of marketing are maintained to achieve profit targets. Through its programme of seminars and events, the HMA can help people engaged in the hospitality industry meet this objective."
