Amadeus e-Travel Appoints Aitor Marin as Head of the Newly Created e-Travel Business Unit in Latin America
Madrid: 27 January , 2005: Amadeus e-Travel, the global leader in online travel solutions and the e-commerce business unit of Amadeus Global Travel Distribution, today announced the appointment of Aitor Marin as Head of Amadeus e-Travel, Latin America.
Based in Sao Paulo, Aitor will be responsible for the overall Sales, Marketing and Management of e-Travel’s online travel booking solutions, including corporate travel mangement solutions e-Travel® Aergo and SAP Travel Management powered by e-Travel (SAP TM), and leisure solutions e-Travel® Amigo and e-Travel® Planitgo.
Aitor joins e-Travel in Latin America after more than five years at Grupo Iris, a technology company providing IT services to the Travel Agencies (Front, Mid and Back Office products) and Azor System, the e-commerce branch of Grupo Iris, where he was Sales Manager responsible for sales and marketing for both companies.

Aitor holds a Masters Degree in Tourism from the University of Las Palmas, the Canary Islands and a degree in Business Studies with Tourism. He is a native Spanish and Catalan speaker and is fluent in English and Portuguese.
