Amadeus opens ARIA

Tuesday, 30 Jul, 2012 0
Move marks the first time a GDS has opened its library of code to third party developers

Amadeus has announced that it is opening a core technology framework, Amadeus ARIA Templates, to the open source community.

Amadeus says the application framework, written in JavaScript, will "revolutionize" the way the travel industry creates new user interfaces.  It says opening ARIA will also "drastically ease" the process of developing travel mobile apps.

For the past three years, Amadeus has used the ARIA Templates framework internally to develop web-based products.  The ARIA framework also fuels Amadeus’ consumer-facing mobile apps for its airline customers.
