American Airlines adding meal preorder service to regional flights
American Airlines is expanding its meal preorder facility to regional flights.
Starting March 11, premium passengers on American Eagle regional flights can order meals in advance.
"Ordering meals in advance is important to our customers, and we’re excited to bring this option to more flights," said American’s managing director of food and beverage services, Raphael Girardoni.
That adds about 300 more flights where the service is available for preorder.
Customers can order their preferred meal 30 days in advance to 24 hours before departure.
Menu items available on regional services include a charcuterie plate, Mediterranean turkey club sandwich and Tex-Mex salad with adobo chicken.
Menu items vary based on the route.
American says it offers more daily flights than any other airline where preorder in premium cabins is available.
