American Airlines gives flight attendants big pay hike for holidays
American Airlines is taking no chances over the busy holiday season after its recent operational meltdown, which led widespread cancellations.
According to an internal memo, American flight attendants working between November 23 to 29 and December 22 to January 2, will get 150% premium on holiday pay.
Staff with no absences from November 15 and January 2, will receive a 300% premium for the hours they work. It hopes the one-time bump in pay for the holiday season will avoid any further staffing issues.
