American Airlines launches in-flight AppleTV streaming
American Airlines is offering another free perk to fliers thanks to a tie-up with Apple.
AA customers can take advantage of free inflight streaming of original shows on AppleTV+.
Content available includes Defending Jacob, Dickinson, and The Morning Show, although exact content depends on which route a passenger flies.
It expands the existing partnership between Apple and American Airlines when they came together to offer free access to Apple Music with Viasat satellite broadband.
The service is available to all passengers with a Wi-Fi connected device on AA flights with internet access.
On flights with seatback TV screens, the inflight entertainment system has selected Apple Originals shows preloaded.
Unlike American’s partnership with Apple Music, fliers can watch Apple TV shows without an existing subscription.
