An American Airlines plane at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport was temporarily grounded and all passengers evacuated after a .22-caliber bullet was found in the cabin.
Phoenix police Sgt Vince Lewis said all occupants were taken off the Minneapolis-bound jet and rescreened before being allowed to re-board.
No firearm or any other suspicious items were found, Sgt Lewis said, adding that all passengers re-boarded the flight after a short delay.
Police said crew members were initially alerted after the bullet was found by a passenger.
The evacuation did not affect any other flight operations at the airport, authorities said.
