American Airlines recalling thousands of flight attendants
American Airlines is recalling thousands of more flight attendants from extended leave to cope with surging demand for the holiday season. It is bringing back about 3,300 flight attendants and plans to recruit another 800 by March 2022.
Staff coming back will start work in time for the busy Thanksgiving and Christmas periods. It is the latest signal leisure travel is recovering well. The airline has previously been forced to cancel flights due to a lack of available flight crew.
