American Cruise Lines set for historic California river cruises
American Cruise Lines’ new riverboat American Jazz is set to offer landmark California river cruises.
Beginning February 2023, American Jazz is repositioning to the west via the Panama Canal.
.American Jazz’s upcoming arrival in San Francisco Bay heralds a historic development in US river cruising.
It is the first US built riverboat to offer overnight cruises throughout the Bay and California river cruises in over 80 years.
It will embark on the s first eight-day San Francisco Bay cruise on 24 February.
The new river cruises will sail San Francisco Bay and Wine Country, cruising the Napa River, Sacramento River and San Joaquin River.
“Exploring San Francisco Bay and the California Delta by a US river boat is a momentous occasion for domestic river cruising,” said CEO Charles B Robertson.
American Cruise Lines offers the eight-day San Francisco Bay itinerary in February and March, and again in November and December 2023.
It calls at Stockton, Sacramento and Vallejo.
