As airports reopen, American Airlines is resuming operations in parts of Florida which have been impacted by Hurricane Milton.
American has already restarted full flight operations at its MIA hub, along with Key West International Airport and Gainesville Regional Airport.
Operations will resume today at Orlando International Airport, nearby Melbourne Orlando, Palm Beach International Airport International Airport and at Daytona Beach International.
Additionally, flights will restart at Marsh Harbour Airport and Grand Bahama International Airport in The Bahamas.
It says it is currently assessing damage at Tampa International Airport, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport and Southwest Florida International Airport before confirming when Florida flight operations will resume.
American’s top priority is the safety and well-being of its team members and customers.
It remains in contact with local, state and federal partners.
So far, AAdvantage members have donated more than $4.3 million to support the American Red Cross disaster relief efforts after hurricanes and tropical storms in 2024.
Through October 18, AAdvantage members can earn 10 AAdvantage bonus miles for every dollar donated to the Red Cross with a minimum $25 donation.

American has extended its travel alert through Saturday, October 12, which now includes five airports in the Bahamas in addition to 12 in Florida.
Fares continue to be capped for direct flights departing from these locations.
