Americans can now travel to Italy without quarantine

Italy is now officially welcoming American tourists for quarantine-free vacations. Italy’s Health Minister Roberto Speranza announced entry of travelers from the US under the rules set out in the EU’s Green Certificate system.
Effective now, US travelers must provide proof of vaccination, a certificate of Covid recovery or a negative PCR- or rapid-antigen test taken within 48 hours of arrival. Travelers must also fill out an EU Digital Passenger Locator form before travel.
Travelers from Canada and Japan can also travel to Italy quatantine-free but UK travellers must undergo a five-day quarantine.
