Another scorpion sighting delays United flight
Passengers on a United Airlines flight at Houston were forced to deplane after a scorpion was spotted onboard.
It is the second time a scorpion got onto a United plane in the past month.
United said the creature was spotted on the clothes of one passenger who was checked by paramedics but had not been stung.
The plane returned to the gate and passengers were transferred to a new aircraft out of caution.
That caused a delay of more than three hours for the flight to Ecuador.
"The customer declined further medical treatment and, as a precaution, a new aircraft was arranged. We provided all passengers with a meal voucher due to the delay and the flight, with the customer aboard, has departed for Quito," United said.
Just weeks ago a man was stung by a scorpion on a flight which also departed from Houston.
