Air New Zealand will be the first scheduled airline to operate the new Boeing 787-9.

The airline will take delivery of the revolutionary new aircraft next year and will fly it on the Auckland-Perth route from October.

The airline has confirmed that the next routes to get the 787-9 will be Auckland-Tokyo and Auckland-Shanghai.

All customers will benefit from the 787-9’s larger windows, cleaner cabin air, higher humidity and lower relative cabin pressure.
