UK cruise retailer Gill’s Cruise Centre now offers the new Fred Olsen app and a reprogrammed World Cruise deals app which can be accessed though Google’s Android handsets.
The retailer already offers a Celebrity Cruises app and a Royal Caribbean International app to customers. It says that some 8200 people have so far downloaded a cruise centre app.
The free Fred Olsen app offers deck plans, cruise routes and itineraries and once downloaded can be accessed with offline. A live feed sends latest operator news.
On the Cruise Apps deal, customers can find the top 15 cruise and balcony cruise deals across a number of cruiselines. More than 4000 have so far downloaded this app.
Gill’s Cruise Centre chairman Alistair Gill said: “We have been hugely excited by the positive response to these apps with clients commenting on how useful they’ve found them for research before their cruise and for ease of on-board navigation.
"We are also immensely proud of our Cruise Deals app – Gill’s Cruise Centre is always keen to offer the best possible prices to customers and by making the app available to Android phones we are able to further extend our reach and presence in the marketplace. We are already working on our next series of apps which will focus on solo cruisers and cruises for the festive season.”
