Are you unpopular enough to warrant a world trip?
The world’s first un-popularity contest has been launched.

On The Go Tours will reward the winner of its Get Rid of Me promotion with a six-month, expenses-paid holiday for two featuring adventures in China, Egypt, India, Jordan, Kenya, South Africa, Morocco, Nepal, Russia and Turkey, plus a voyage on the Trans-Siberian Railway.
The catch is you need to persuade your friends, family and the public that they should send you away for half a year
Get Rid Of Me invites applicants to confess all their worst sins and most annoying habits.
“We’re providing a serious public service here,†claims On The Go boss Jay Lakshman, “by sending this person away, we’ll spare the rest of the country, and hopefully their experiences abroad will take the edge off their personality.”
The winner will be chosen at random, but every vote is an entry into the draw, so entrants need to persuade the public that they deserve to be sent away.

While in exile, the winner will be provided with a video camera and a personalised blog in order to document their experiences.

The winner will also be given a spare ticket.
Lakshman says contestants will need to be witty, have a lot of friends who want to see the back of them, and they’ll need a big slice of luck.

Examples of annoying habits likely to strike a chord with the voters include:
Name-dropping celebrities in conversation.
Cycling through all the possible ring-tones on your phone in a crowded train carriage.
Frowning at strangers when they eat unethical chocolate in front of you.
Or lingering at the end of class to ask a few extra questions and slip the teacher an apple.
Full details of the competition and prize are at www.getridofme.com.
The competition is now open, and the winner will be picked in October – after the competition closes on September 30.

The competition is open to anyone aged 18 or over, no matter where in the world they live.
