Art lovers are invited to browse the works of regional artists in Arizona.

Art in the Park in Yuma, AZ displays unique creations for sale while performers entertain guests in front of the scenic backdrop of the Colorado River.

Modeled after the famous Georges Seurat painting “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte,” which features Parisians enjoying a leisurely afternoon along the water, Art in the Park showcases the local art scene.

Additionally, lawn games will be set up for leisurely play.

The Saturday portion of the fine art festival will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., followed by Yuma Community Theater’s presentation of “Sunday in the Park with George” from 5 to 7 p.m.

Viewers will need to bring their own chairs and blankets for this theatrical performance.

On Sunday, January 12, the art festival will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Immerse yourself in a celebration of creativity and culture,” said Arts and Culture Program Manager Ana Padilla.

“From captivating art displays to soul-stirring music and a dynamic theater presentation, Art in the Park is an experience that brings art to life.”

Admission into the park for this event is $1 per person or free for children ages six and younger.

Dogs on leashes are welcome and food vendors will have lunch or snack items for sale.
