Avelo Airlines to make New Haven, CT its East Coast hub
Just a week after its official launch, Hollywood Burbank, CA based Avelo Airlines has announced an East Coast hub at Tweed New Haven Airport in Connecticut.
It will base about 100 employees there including pilots and flight attendants and will contribute $1.2 million to help modernize the airport’s facilities.
It expects to begin flying from Tweed sometime in the third quarter of 2021. The airline has so far announced 11 routes flying from Hollywood Burbank to destinations in mostly Western states.
