Avianca is upgrading its four times a week Bogota-Los Angeles route to daily service later this month.
The Dreamliner service will go daily from March 26, the airline said.
The expanded schedule is down to high demand for business and leisure travel it says.
The route is operated with 250-seat Boeing 787 aircraft featuring 28 business class seats.
It increases connectivity to onward destinations in North America via its codeshare agreement with United Airlines and to East Asia with EVA Air.
Meanwhile, Avianca responded to media reports of a potential lawsuit seeking to block its planned strategic alliance with United Airlines
Avianca says it has not yet been officially served with the complaint but when it does, it will ‘respond in the normal legal course of action’ and will ‘vigorously defend its interests.’
