Avianca will launch a new direct route to Boston, linking it with Bogota for the first time.
Colombia based Avianca will start four weekly flights from June 2 to what the carrier calls ‘one of the oldest cities in the United States, an epicenter of prestigious universities of great cultural and artistic significance.’
The route connecting Boston Logan with El Dorado Airport in Bogota will be operated by 120-passenger Airbus A319 aircraft.
"With the launch of this new route, Avianca becomes the first and only airline to directly link Bogota with Boston and vice versa, more efficiently connecting travelers from the state of Massachusetts with the main capitals of Latin America," said Avianca president Hernan Rincon.
Via Avianca’s Bogota hub the airline offers onward connections throughout South America including Quito, Ecuador; Lima in Peru; Rio de Janeiro and Santiago, Chile, as well as domestic flights within Colombia such as Medellin and Cartegena.
