Azul considering bidding for LATAM Airlines
Brazil based airline Azul is mulling an acquisition of Chile’s LATAM Airlines Group which is currently in bankruptcy proceedings.
If creditors fail to authorize an agreed restructuring plan, Azul could step in with an offer, its CEO John Rodgerson said.
The deadline for reaching an agreement is in two weeks. Rodgerson said all indications were that an agreement would likely not be reached.
Azul is considering buying all LATA Group airline assets.
