Azul launching daily New York flights
Brazilian carrier Azul is launching flights to its third US city and the first outside the Sunshine State.
Starting June 15, Azul will fly daily to New York JFK Airport from its Sao Paulo hub.
Azul already serves Fort Lauderdale and Orlando from three Brazilian cities including Sao Paulo.
The carrier will use A330 widebody aircraft on the new route which includes full lie-flat Azul Business, Azul Economy Extra and Azul main economy cabins.
"We are adding a very important corporate destination to our portfolio. We could not be more excited about what this new service could mean for our network and relevance with our corporate customers", says John Rodgerson, Azul CEO.
Azul says it is the largest airline in Brazil by number of flight departures, and offers more than 900 daily flights.
With the new nonstop service Azul increases its US service to 30 flights a week.
