British Airways claims it has re-booked all passengers on flights after 38 customers were stranded in Mumbai due to a missed connection.
The holidaymakers, which included young children and some with special needs, had feared they would be stuck for eight days in the airport after the delay of their internal Air India flight led to them missing their connection.
They had flown from Goa to Mumbai after a two week holiday where they were to catch a BA flight to Heathrow.
The passengers, which included Sean Read, the keyboard player for the Manic Street Preachers, said BA and Air India staff argued over whose fault it was.
BA had allegedly said that there could be an eight-day wait as all flights back to the UK were fully booked.
However, the airline now claims that all customers have been rebooked with BA or other airlines and would travel today or tomorrow.
A spokesman said: "Our staff in Mumbai worked hard to assist customers who missed their connection from Mumbai to London.
"Our flights from Mumbai are incredibly busy at this time of year, and in order to get customers on their way as quickly as possible we booked those affected onto flights operated by both British Airways and other airlines."
