A police investigation is underway after a bag carrying NZ$1m (£425,000) went missing at Hong Kong International Airport.

The bag was one of 13, holding a total of NZ$10m, which were on a Cathay Pacific flight from New Zealand to the Bank of China in Hong Kong.

According to local reports, three bags fell off a trailer after being unloaded from the flight on Friday.

When airport staff went to retrieve them, they only found two.

Cathay Pacific confirmed that part of a valuable cargo shipment was found missing but said as the case is under police investigation, it was unable to provide further details.
