Police in Thailand investigating the August 17 Bangkok bombing are to share a £54,500 reward between them after they arrested a suspect.
The 3 million Baht reward was made available for information about who carried out the blast, in which 20 people died.
A third of the money came from police and the rest from an anonymous businessman.
At a press conference, national police chief Somyot Poompanmoung said the money should go to the police because they made an arrest without the help of the public.
"This money should be given to officials who did their job. This arrest, I confirm, is due purely to the work of police," he said.
The suspect was arrested at an apartment on the outskirts of the city, although he has not yet been charged.
