BCD Travel Continues to Build on Global Strengths
Global travel management company signs new partners in Singapore and United Arab Emirates
London, 29 September 2006 – BCD Travel, the world’s third largest global travel management company, announced that it has expanded its network reach in two key markets: Singapore and the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.).
In Singapore, BCD Travel will partner with Diners Travel World. Diners has a longstanding industry reputation for high quality service and process orientation, as evidenced by its reception of two quality awards given by SPRING Singapore – the Singapore Quality Class Award (2003) and the Excellence Service Award (nine consecutive years since 1997) – as well as having been ISO9001:2000 certified since 2000.
In the U.A.E., BCD Travel will be represented by the Dubai-headquartered agency trading and operating entirely as BCD Travel. This operation is owned by Khalid Al Rostamani and managed by a team of experienced travel professionals.
BCD Travel simplifies and streamlines the corporate travel process, helping companies manage and control the movement of their people, information and resources. The company focuses on implementing an integrated, seamless technology platform throughout their network to provide clients with full access to and analysis of travel data.
“To speak of the increasing globalisation of today’s marketplace is to repeat what has become commonplace. But the ability to provide real, workable solutions to the companies operating in that marketplace is far less common – and that is precisely what BCD Travel does,” said Greg O’Neil, managing director and senior vice-president of partner networks and Asia-Pacific region. “Singapore and the U.A.E. are key strategic markets for consolidations, and we are delighted to work with partners with a clear commitment to customer service.”
Robert Koh, director and general manager of Diners World Travel, said, “BCD Travel shares our philosophy for growth and success in the region, and we are excited by the decision to forge a strategic partnership with BCD Travel for corporate travel management solutions in Singapore.”
Khalid Al Rostamani, owner of BCD Travel in the U.A.E., added, “We believe that our understanding of the local market, together with BCD Travel’s strong global reach and credibility will enhance our overall service offering.”
Commenting on the new partnerships, Mike Buckman, BCD Travel’s CEO, said: “BCD Travel is committed to being where our clients need us to be, wherever they conduct business across the globe. I’m delighted to bring our flexible technology, strategic solutions and service commitment to these two key travel markets.”
