BedandBreakfast.com Announces The Winners for its Fourth Annual Web Based Awards

Monday, 07 Oct, 2008 0

Since launching the BedandBreakfast.com reviews program almost two years ago, inn goers have submitted nearly 50,000 B&B reviews determining the best B&B’s worldwide.

The selection criteria for the Best of BedandBreakfast.com Awards included both quantitative and qualitative analysis of the independently posted reviews on BedandBreakfast.com.

“Independent reviews are vital for B&B travelers looking for accommodations, and we work hard to encourage inn goers to post them,” explained Eric Goldreyer, President of BedandBreakfast.com.

“The Best of BedandBreakfast.com Awards demonstrate that exceptional inns and B&Bs are found not only in big cities but also in small undiscovered towns and villages worldwide. We applaud the Best of BedandBreakfast.com Award winners for their fine accommodations, value, and exceptional hospitality,” he commented.

“While award winning inns are found around the globe, we were delighted to
learn that three Best of BedandBreakfast.com award winners were located in
tiny Millersburg, OH, in the heart of Holmes County Amish country,” agreed
Sandy Soule, Editor and Marketing VP of BedandBreakfast.com.

The Best of BedandBreakfast.com Award winners are not ranked but are listed
alphabetically by state or country within each category. Themes and
categories reflect prevalent comments from each winner’s reviews.

The Top 12 Overall Worldwide Awards were:

The Sallerhof, Salzberg, Austria: “Sallerhof offers the best value for money
that we experienced in Europe. [Innkeeper] Klaus deserves every award!”

Graystone B&B Main Floor Suites, Niagara-On-The-Lake, ON, Canada: “What an
awesome place! The surroundings, the views, the accommodations, the hosts —
absolutely amazing. It refreshed and recharged me.”

Traveler’s Rest, Montezuma, GA: “Adele took care of our every need. We
really enjoyed the fabulous candlelight dinner and the delicious breakfast
the next morning. All the extra touches like the rose petals on our bed and
the great hot tub make this B&B stand out from the rest!”

The Queen Anne Bed & Breakfast, Natchitoches, LA: “As a travel writer for a
major U.S. syndicate, I have stayed in numerous B&Bs, and I have to say that
this one is the best, offering everything from Southern hospitality to the
most exquisite, delicious breakfasts. Charles was an amazing host…Martha
Stewart couldn’t do better. “

Kingsley House, Fennville, MI: “The Kingsley House is a beautifully
preserved and maintained Victorian home that affords comfort and convenience
to its guests. Mr. Drees is a great innkeeper and serves wonderful
breakfasts — each day is a unique experience.”

Pilot Knob Inn Bed & Breakfast, Pilot Mountain, NC: “We have been going to
Pilot Knob B&B every year since 2003. The cabins are peaceful, the
breakfasts are outstanding, and they anticipate everything you might need,
from logs for the fire to extra big fluffy towels for the large tub. I have
stayed in many places in 46 states of our fine country; this place is
exceptional in every way if you are looking for a rustic getaway.”

Inn at Ellis River, Jackson, NH: “What a beautiful inn! The innkeepers truly
went above and beyond our expectations. The food was exceptional, always hot
and homemade. The room was unbelievably clean with great attention to detail
on the décor… a little piece of heaven in Jackson, NH.”

Barn Inn B&B, Millersburg, OH: “We were in total awe of our room; the decor
was breath-taking. Paul and Loretta have done an outstanding job of creating
a phenomenal atmosphere; they are the most gracious and knowledgeable hosts.
The serene setting makes the Barn Inn the perfect setting for city folk who
crave to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.”

Terra Nova House, Grove City, PA: “Finding your true love is one thing. But
spending it together at the Terra Nova was an experience that we will always
remember. The fireplace, roses, wine, chocolate, and breakfast in our room
was amazing.”

Pomegranate House & Cottages, Granbury, TX: “Wonderful place for a relaxing, stress-free stay. Beautiful garden, friendly innkeepers, and wonderful food. We felt
very well cared for during our stay, and all amenities were provided for
us.”

Rabbit Hill Inn, Lower Waterford, VT: “This is definitely one of our
favorite bed & breakfasts. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff was
outstanding, as were the food and accommodations. We loved the attention to
detail, including the candles lit in our room each evening.”

Woodstocker Inn, Woodstock, VT: “We really enjoyed our stay at the
Woodstocker. It is so conveniently located. The breakfast was fantastic;
definitely try the sausages and the fruit compote and yogurt. David and Dora
are great hosts — friendly and helpful, yet give you plenty of privacy to
enjoy your stay.”
