Biman to relaunch Tokyo flights after 17 years
Bangladesh flag carrier Biman is set to restart Tokyo flights after a years-long hiatus.
The route resumes today after a gap of 17 years.
Tokyo flights from Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport will operate initially three times a week to Narita on Boeing 787-8 aircraft.
“Dhaka-Narita could be a promising route as we are expecting passengers from our neighbouring countries travellers apart from the local passengers,” said CEO Shafiul Azim.
“We are exploring with other airlines interlinking or codesharing so that we can offer our passengers different routes beyond Japan.”
Biman is currently working with both JAL and All Nippon Airways for codesharing.
