Blue Islands adds flights as Jersey relaxes travel restrictions
Blue Islands will start ramping up flights to Jersey next month as restrictions are gradually eased for mainland travellers. The airline will restart flights across its network from 26 April when Jersey is scheduled to ease its travel curbs.
The airline will offer service from Exeter, Bristol, Southampton and Birmingham, and expects to increase capacity as demand grows. Jersey is reintroducing the ‘Safer Travel Policy’ phased approach with red, amber, and green tiers.
The uncertainty about when summer overseas travel will resume could be a boon for the airline. "From our point of view, Jersey is a much safer bet for holiday makers to book a break," said Blue Islands Director Paul Simmons.
