Bmi regional expands from Aberdeen
Bmi regional is to add a Brussels route from its base in Aberdeen.
Daily flights using Embraer jet aircraft start on April 16 with support from the Scottish Executive Route Development Fund, which encourages direct links to airports in Scotland.
The expansion follows the airline announcing a 25% increase in its jet fleet during 2007 and the launch of Aberdeen-Kristiansand and Edinburgh-Zurich flights in March.
Managing director Stewart Adams said: “Our network of full-service, non-stop flights between Scotland and key destinations in the UK and Europe continues to expand and it is with particular pleasure that we bring another international service, our fourth, to Aberdeen.
“Brussels is a much needed direct air link for the city in terms of both outward and incoming business travel and tourism and will doubtless be a popular addition to our flight network.”
