A flight attendant charged over two hoax bomb alerts on flights has signed a plea deal.
The deal means Justin Cox-Sever, 23, of Tempe, Arizona, will avoid a trial but still faces a long stretch in prison.
Skywest flight attendant Cox-Sever is accused of making bogus in-flight threats while working Skywest flights from Charlottesville to Chicago and from Minneapolis to Dickinson.
The first threat caused the flight to turn round and the second resulted in an evacuation of the airport terminal at Dickinson.
He will plead guilty to four charges of interfering with an aircraft.
A fifth charge was dropped reducing a potential sentence to 50 years maximum.
He could also face restitution of up to $1 million.
