Bonza cabin crew injured after severe turbulence
Some flight attendants were taken to hospital after unexpected but severe air turbulence on a Bonza flight.
The flight was en route from Rockhampton to the Sunshine Coast.
Bonza CEO Tim Jordan said an unknown number of crew members were taken to hospital after landing at Sunshine Coast Airport.
However, they have all now been discharged, he said.
No passengers needed medical assistance.
“Our priority is always the safety of our staff and customers.”
The plane was assessed at Sunshine Coast for any damage and its next flight was cancelled as a precaution.
The airline said all passengers on the turbulent flight will receive a refund.
LCC Bonza is Australia’s newest airline, having launched in January 2023.
