Booking.com appoints new UK MD
Rachel Howes has been promoted to UK managing director of Booking.com, part of priceline.com.
She joined the company, formerly known as Active Hotels, in January 2004 as a sales manager for the German market.
Since then, Howes has held various management roles with Booking.com and has helped it grow gross bookings to €1.2 billion, or 12.5 million room nights sold in the 12 months to March 31.
She will continue to be based at Booking.com’s office in Cambridge, heading up all UK operations and business development activities.
