Brazil airline Gol to buy 250 electric air taxis
Brazil based airline Gol Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes plans to purchase as many as 250 electric air taxis from Vertical Aerospace Group in an effort to move into the ride-sharing market. The VA-X4 vertical takeoff and landing model is a zero-emission four-passenger aerial vehicle that can fly at 200 miles per hour with a range of more than 100 miles.
American Airlines which recently said it would buy a minority stake in Gol, has also pre-ordered air taxis from Vertical Aerospace.
