British man killed in Thailand knife attack
A British national was murdered and another critically injured in an alleged home attack in Thailand. The knife attack happened in the early hours of Saturday in Kanchanaburi. A 23-year-old Thai man has been charged with murder and one count of attempted murder.
The motive is unclear but may have stemmed from an argument over playing music late at night. Investigators say the suspect has suffered mental health issues, local media reported.
"We are in contact with the Royal Thai Police following the death of one British man and the hospitalisation of another and are ready to provide consular support," the UK Foreign Office said.
